Update on my crazy eczema.
Currently, my eczema is slightly under control. However, there is a dog in the house that is making me kinda itchy. I am using Vanicream, Jojoba oil, Cetaphil lotion, Cetaphil soap etc!!
I have little bumps on my forearms that are super itchy. I REALLY do not know where this came from because I have NEVER had a breakout on my arms?!? I mean the creases of my arms but definitely not my forearms? I am thinking maybe it is the Vanicream. The Vanicream is working wonders on my neck and face. Maybe it not for the body?? Will try and just use it for the face and neck and see if my eczema on my arms go away. Lets hope so!!
I currently made another twitter…twitter.com/eczema_lyss YEA ridiculous that my name is ECZEMA_LYSS on twitter but I am just trying to make a point. And it kinda goes with my name?
Anyway I am also taking multivitamins and purified fish oil pills. We’ll see how that goes. Changed my laundry detergent to all natural and changed my toothpaste to TOMS. Also using natural shampoos and conditioners.
These bumps on my arms are worrying me? Why must one part of my body be under control and then another part of my body go ballistic?? Is it the steroids?? Is it the lotions??
I am also currently running every other day after work. Trying to see how that changes my body. I like feeling exhausted so I fall asleep easier. Makes me scratch less..
Hope your eczema is ok
Let me know!
A new day, a new dawn

Let it all fall down

What comes up, must come down.
In my last Youtube vid, I cried. Who does that?? I think I’ve gotten too comfortable on my Youtube channel! But what can I say? If I’m going to show everybody what eczema is like than I gota show em EVERYTHING…from the physical to the emotional.
My skin is weird. My arms have cleared and so has my face a little bit. I switched from using Elocon steroid cream to Protopic topical cream. I used to HATE Protopic and was SO against it. But I’m scared….I’m scared that if I keep using steroid creams that my skin is going to be even worse in the future. Sure it helps for a short amount of time, but what about in the LONG run???
When I first used Protopic it BURNED and I wanted to scratch my skin off, but this time around it didn’t burn at all!! I typed in Protopic into Google and a lot of people experienced the burning sensation too. However, after a few uses the burning sensation went away and the users experienced great results.
Even people with psoriasis use Protopic, and they have noticed their redness fade away.
I wonder why it didn’t burn for me this time around? Is it because my skin is so numb from using steroid creams? How sad if that is the case. Anyway, Protopic is safe to use anywhere on the body, so I have used it on my arms, back of my neck, back of my legs, front of my neck and my face!! And results are coming along way better than the steroid creams. I am using this only at night, even though the prescription I had from a long time ago says to use it in the day time and night time.
The redness along my eyes have subsided and the red patches on my neck has slowly gone away. I am ecstatic but trying not to get my hopes up. Anything can happen!!!
The diet I tried has been thrown out the roof. I’ve had two cinnamon dolce latte’s this week from Starbucks and I’ve had bread, pasta, burgers, fries, etc. I couldn’t help it. My friends were in town and eating salads and healthy food isn’t fun when you have company. I was going to pay for it for sure, but for some reason my skin hasn’t flared as badly as I expected.
Is it truly diet that affects eczema?? I really have no idea. I didn’t try the diet long enough to see if there was a major change. In fact, when I was on the diet that was when my eczema was the worse.
Maybe it’s my body telling me that the only way it will be happy is if I’m TRULY happy, and that means eating what I want and feeling GOOD.
I have been exercising too. Maybe sweating (not a lot of sweating) helps control my eczema?
Anyway, here are some suggestions from viewers on Youtube who have written me. I didn’t get all of them but I’ll try and add more as I write or vlog.

Today is a new day.
I just wrote back 15 personal messages on Youtube. I am SO THANKFUL for everyone who has been writing me messages, people who have been subscribing and people who are REACHING out. The internet is a powerful thing. It can really bring people together.
I have been kinda moapy and not myself lately and I decided to take some time out and write my goals for the upcoming weeks. I’m trying to TRAIN myself to write GOALS once a week and to achieve those goals. Taking my mind off the “little things” and focusing on the bigger picture also helps me realize that having skin issues isn’t that big of a deal.
Here my goals for next week!
Monday: Wake up at 7am and STRETCH. Stretching out in the morning is supposed to relax the mind, body and spirit and hopefully my skin problems.
8:30-5:30pm – WORK
5:30pm- RUSH my butt to DANCE!! Jazz 1!! IF I don’t make it I will be heading straight to the GYM!! No stopping at home!
Tuesday: 7am WAKE UP and STRETCH
8:30-5:30- WORK-O
6pm: GYM!!
8pm: Whole Foods!!
Wed: Same as above
8-9:30pm- DANCE! HIP HOP!
Thurs: Same as above
6:30-7:45pm Basic Jazz
Friday: Same as above
7-8:30pm Jazz 1
Can I do it?! YES I CAN!!
We will see how my skin reacts to all this EXERCISE!! I am excited. I used to exercise a lot and my skin was fine, and now that I am just working my skin has issues. I am taking basic classes because when I take classes that make me feel inferior as a dancer, I STRESS…and for me, STRESS makes my skin absolutely horrendous.
Lyss way or that way. We’ll find out!
