Lyss.. or That!?

Love the skin your in

I’ve known that beauty comes from within since I was little, but it’s so hard to realize that when you have SKIN problems!! I have eczema, I have been battling eczema since I was a little girl and here I am trying to bring people together to realize that we can get through this.

You are YOUR OWN WORSE CRITIC. Stop looking into the magnifying mirrors, stop picking at your skin, stop worrying that someone is going to think it’s gross…. In reality, no one really cares but YOU and your dermatologist. :) The people who surround you with LOVE and SUPPORT everyday see PAST your skin problems.

Now we just have to do the same…

Here I will be writing about my daily life, my complaints, my worries, my products…my issues…and I hope this blog will get YOU writing too.

Lets get together and figure out eczema. Lets combine our knowledge together so we can fight this thing…!

  1. Hey, I’m one of your subscribers on YouTube and decide to check out your website. I have eczema, too, but I’m kinda in the entertainment industry as an actress. Do you have in lotions or body washes that can get rid of most or atleast some of the eczema spots? Right now I use Aveeno Skin Relief Body wash and baby oil, because my skin dries up REALLY quick.

    • Hey Crystal!

OK, well my skin is drying up really fast lately and I don’t know why…well I know why but you know….! As for lotions that will take away eczema spots, I still haven’t found what actually takes it away. All I can tell you is that Eucerin Original Moisturizing Cream is my staple (the one that comes in a jar). It will keep your skin moisturized than most lotions. What are you using?

    • hey lyss,

i just came across your page while searching for ezcema remedies on youtube. & i must say THANK YOU =) thank you very much for bringing us people that suffer from this skin issue closer because for a very long time i felt that i was the only one living in this situation. though i know many people have it, i did not know anyone else who had it. I too have had it ever since i was a little girl; thinking i would grow out of it, i never really paid attention to it until i started high school. And now that i’m in college, my self-esteem has dramatically dropped. I watched your emotional video and read the comments that everyone posted and i just felt really emotionally too because people don’t understand us. My ezcema had also gotten so bad that i was thinking about the “S” word but just the thought of it, even i couldn’t do it. Anyways, please keep making videos, as you inspire us all and remember that you aren’t alone on this one! =) Always take care and God Bless <3

  2. Hey Lyss,

Just wanna thank you for providing us with a zone where us eczema sufferers can openly and comfortably discuss our itchiness and flare ups!

I’ve been using Eucerin for years… can’t complain about it, though my skin does dry up quickly even after I lather it on myself (after showering). I actually bought Aquaphor recently and will try that after my Eurcerin jar runs out.. I know it’s from the makers of Eurcerin, but my aunt actually said Aquaphor is more moisturizing than Eurcerin…. we’ll see.

I would also like to know how to get of the dark spots that eczema leaves behind. I’ve had these 2 dark spots near my shoulders for about a year already and even though the eczema’s gone the darkness is still there :(
I’ve never actually had the guts to wear tanktops/sleeveless shirts before because I’m soo self conscious, sigh :(

  3. Hello Lyss. I came across your youtube videos today and found them both interesting and informative. I am seeing a dermatologist in a week since I am not sure if i have eczema- but i suspect so. I have some pretty undesirable patches on my legs now. Could you please make a video about what products you use to shave? Also, I was thinking about the patches you have around your neck. Could your necklace possibly be causing it? I get flare ups when i wear things that have nickel in them (even sterling silver)- only pure gold, silver, and platinum work for me.

  4. Hey girl!

I was browsing youtube and I came across your videos about eczema..and I know you’ve probably heard this many many times, but THANK YOU! I thought i was the only one in the universe who had severe skin allergies like i do. And it totally sucks! I also came across one of the videos where you were crying because your eczema, and i understand how you feel. My rashes affect my self-esteem all the time, and it seems to be getting worse. Currently i’m getting allergy shots to prevent these flare ups in the long run, but i DO use that Eucerin lotion that comes in the white jar. But anyways, i just wanted to say THANK YOU again. You’ve got guts girl, plus you’re beautiful.. and i look up to you for that. Thanks for sharing your videos and bringing people like us together. You’re awesome! Do you have a myspace btw?

  5. Randomgirl03- My youtube videos have turned into something that I have never imagined, and I just wanted to say THANK YOU for watching. You all inspire me to keep going!

Kiddo- Dark spots!! I have that problem and it sucks. I am still trying to find out what helps with it, but nothing has worked for me. Do NOT be afraid to wear tank tops or tube tops or whatever. Not everybody has perfect skin, discoloration is nothing….!!

AT- I only wear necklaces every now and then…sigh, and the one I’m wearing is sterling silver so that makes me sad. And when I shave I only use Dove sensitive skin soap. I don’t really buy other products to use for when I shave.

Alyssa- Like I said to randomgirl03- noooo THANK YOU for watching. If it wasn’t for you guys I wouldn’t be tryin all these new things, and I probably would be stuck in my shell. I just want people to be aware of eczema because it is a problem that isn’t as addressed as much as it should be.

And I do have a myspace :) …what is yours?
